Composite Bonding: A Quick Smile Makeover

Composite bonding has quickly become one of the most popular cosmetic treatments at our practice. It's a fast, affordable way to transform the look of your front teeth with minimal — sometimes zero — drilling.
What is composite bonding?
Bonding uses a tooth-coloured resin that's carefully shaped and sculpted onto your tooth, then hardened with a special light. We can use it to repair chips, close small gaps, lengthen worn-down edges, or reshape teeth that look uneven.
Why patients love it

The treatment is usually completed in a single appointment, requires little to no removal of natural tooth, and is significantly cheaper than veneers. There's no need for anaesthetic in most cases, and you can eat and drink as normal straight after.
How long does it last?
With good care, composite bonding commonly lasts around 3 to 8 years before it needs touching up or replacing — there's no fixed clinical figure, and how you look after it makes a big difference. Avoiding habits like biting nails or opening packets with your teeth will help it last longer.
Is it right for you?
Bonding is ideal for small to medium cosmetic issues on healthy teeth. For larger changes, multiple chipped teeth, or heavy staining, veneers may be a better long-term option. We'll talk you through both at a consultation.
